In the framework of the city’s Agenda 21, the department for green land has implemented alternative management techniques (mulching, biological control, use of more resistant vegetation…) aimed at significantly reducing the use of phytosanitary products. The optimisation of watering systems, the use of a range of more effectively adapted and less water absorbing vegetation and the use of grass that is more resistant to drought, are measures which are largely used to achieve more effective use and protection of water resources.

Lastly, adaptations to standard grass-cutting methods have been implemented, including using differentiated mowing for greater respect of vegetal cycles, to limit environmental impact.
